Four medical students are spooked as they examine a cadaver adorned with an ancient symbol, which they believe indicates a Bokor, an undead person. However, the symbol was faked by two students to lure the other two to their deaths. / An investigator with the National Transportation Safety Board awakens from a nightmare and realizes he is aboard an aircraft that is about to explode in midair--as he has just dreamed.

Thirty years ago, a baby watches his parents argue. The alcoholic father goes into the child's room, and gunshots are heard. A city dweller, Gerald, goes camping to get away from his noisy surroundings and news reports of serial killings. Another camper, Ben (Brian Dennehy), bothers Gerald repeatedly. Finally, exasperated by Ben's intrusions, Gerald kills Ben. Gerald is a serial killer who just wanted a weekend off from murdering. / An army scientist (Bill Pullman) investigates the bizarre appearance in the desert of a self-contained environment resembling an 1800s prairie, populated by people who are not aware of the world outside. The scientist becomes enamored with one of the women inside and yearns for the simple life they lead. But when he enters the prairie, he is eaten by aliens from another dimension masquerading as the frontier family.

Three friends mysteriously continue living after a fatal car crash--but only until someone notices their corpses. / A woman (Bridget Fonda) who thinks there is somebody secretly living in her house discovers that she herself is the interloper.

A psychiatrist with the strange ability to absorb other people's mental illness helps a catatonic boy but does not realize he now remains in a catatonic state. / A wife in a loveless marriage sees visions of a beautiful woman in her new car, a woman with whom her husband had an affair--and who committed suicide in the car.

A Gulf War veteran meets his former comrades but learns that they are ghosts bent on revenge for his cowardice. / Horrified that a sex offender has moved into the area, a group of neighbors rallies one father to kill him--but they target the wrong man.

A psychiatrist (PAM GRIER) helps a mentally ill woman (NATHASHA GREGSON WAGNER) reintegrate multiple personalities, but a violent one overtakes the patient. / After alerting his captain that there are stowaways aboard, a cargo officer (JAMIE KENNEDY) becomes the meal of a creature being transported.

A psychiatrist (MALCOLM McDOWELL) tries to cure an obsessive patient (MIGUEL FERRER) but acquires his compulsion instead. / A deaf courtroom artist who can read a guilty detective's mind convinces him to surrender.
