Once again, BING-BING asks PIK-WAN whether she told KA-HIN about KA-YEUNG's desertion. Though PIK-WAN continues to deny it, BING-BING is sure that PIK-WAN lies about it. Revealing that it's beyond her control, PIK-WAN emphasizes that she, as a single girl, has no marital relationship with KA-HIN, so she has no right to refrain him from doing anything. Having regarded BING-BING as her best friend, she also warns BING-BING to be careful. KA-HIN forces WING-NIN to hand over the reins to him, but WING-NIN refuses to comply, so KA-HIN throws a glass of Ginseng tea at WING-NIN. WING-CHEUNG unmasks that CHI-YAN colludes with the Japanese to buy out all the raw silk made in China, then resell it to the Chinese after weaving the silk into clothing so as to suppress the sales growth of made-in-China products. While admitting that he is cooperating with the Japanese, CHI-YAN thinks there is nothing wrong as long as they can profit from it. Meanwhile, CHI-YAN tries to convince WING-CHEUNG that they are just doing business with the Japanese for mutual benefit. Instead, WING-CHEUNG unmasks the collusion between CHI-YAN and KA-HIN, saying they just take advantage of him to help KA-HIN take over the reins of the family business.
